Air Safety in the Medical Environment
In an age where the risk of cross infection places ever-increasing burdens on medical and non-medical staff in the hospital environment, air filtration has become an essential factor in controlling and reducing that risk.
Air filters are used in a host of medical devices from anaesthesia equipment in the operating theatre to prevent patient dehydration and drop in temperature as well as remove harmful microbes, to longer treatments such as ventilation, nebuliser therapy and use of CPAP / BIPAP machines.
Since 1994 Air Safety has developed and manufactured air filters for an extensive range of applications in the medical environment for both OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and end-user, and now exports to over 40 countries via an international network of distributors.
Specialist Design & Manufacture
While Air Safety’s proprietary range comprises over 200 different types and styles of air filter for medical devices, it is in the field of specialist design for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) that Air Safety comes into its own and where its reputation for expertise became established.
Capable of producing filters with efficiencies up to 99.99999%, the ability to combine different medias to remove particulates, odours and gases - all at the same time if necessary - an in-house moulding facility, and an experienced team of design engineers, Air Safety has the ability and expertise to deliver an innovative, cost-effective solution to air filtration challenges.
